Description

An eight lane, 25 meter ‘flat water’ tank in addition to leisure water, community whirlpool, indoor/outdoor water slide, steam room, multi-purpose rooms and large weight-training centre. Additional features included accommodation of handicap-access installations and the provision of a three meter diving platform. Completed in 9 1/2 months from beginning to end over a difficult winter, it was at least five months ahead of all proposed schedules and has been described as the fastest construction of a public pool in Canadian history.
