Description

DODMA or 1,2-dioleyloxy-3-dimethylaminopropane is a type of cationic lipids which is considered a non-viral carrier for gene therapy. It is often used in the preparation of cationic liposomes or lipid nanoparticles (LNP). DODMA possesses one double bond in each hydrocarbon tail with tertiary amine group and has a pKa of 7.0. It is extremely effective at encapsulating nucleic acids due to its ability to temporarily reduce pH. This product is available in chloroform.
