Description

t-butyl-C18-D-Glu-OtBu-PEG2-acid is a PEG linker comprised of an octadecanedioic acid and a glutamic acid, which is also protected by a terminal t-butyl ester, with a terminal t-butyl ester and a carboxylic acid. The t-butyl protected carboxyl groups can be deprotected under acidic conditions. Glutamic acid is an α-amino acid that is used in the biosynthesis of proteins. The terminal carboxylic acid can react with primary amine groups in the presence of activators (e.g. EDC, or HATU) to form a stable amide bond. This compound is also an intermedite in the synthesis of semaglutide.
