Description

Auristatin E is a potent cytotoxic agent derived from natural products, specifically the dolastatin family of peptides. It inhibits cell division by disrupting microtubule dynamics. It is often used as a payload or cytotoxic component in the development of ADCs. In ADCs, a monoclonal antibody is conjugated to a cytotoxic drug, such as Auristatin E. The antibody targets specific antigens on cancer cells, delivering the cytotoxic payload directly to the cancer cells, thereby minimizing damage to healthy cells.
