Description

DBCO-PEG4-PAB-MMAE is a complex compound designed for use in the development of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs). DBCO is a functional group known for its bioorthogonal click chemistry reaction with molecules containing strained alkynes, such as azides or trans-cyclooctene (TCO). MMAE is a potent cytotoxic agent derived from the natural product dolastatin 10. It inhibits cell division by disrupting microtubule dynamics and is commonly used as a payload in ADCs. The ADC, containing the antibody linked to DBCO-PEG4-PAB-MMAE, is designed to target cancer cells expressing specific antigens. The antibody recognizes and binds to these antigens on the surface of cancer cells.
