Description

Amino-PEG4-Glu-Gly-Cit-PAB-MMAE is an intermediate composed of a cleavable Glu-Gly-Cit (EGCit) peptide to build an antibody drug conjugate (ADC). The amino group is a reactive functional group that can participate in various chemical reactions, including conjugation to other molecules. PAB is a linker component that can serve as a spacer between the PEG linker and the cytotoxic payload. It contributes to flexibility and prevents steric hindrance. MMAE, as a cytotoxic payload, disrupts microtubule dynamics, inhibits cell division, and induces cell death selectively in the targeted cancer cells.
