Description

Mal-Amide-PEG4-Glu-Gly-Cit-PAB-MMAE is a complex molecule designed for use in the development of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs). Maleimide is a functional group that is commonly used in bioconjugation reactions. It reacts selectively with thiol groups to form stable thioether linkages. The amide bond is a functional group that forms a linkage between the mal group and the PEG linker. Amide bonds are stable under physiological conditions. PAB is a linker component that can serve as a spacer between the PEG linker and the cytotoxic payload. It contributes to flexibility and prevents steric hindrance. MMAE is a potent cytotoxic agent derived from the natural product dolastatin 10. It inhibits cell division by disrupting microtubule dynamics and is commonly used as a payload in ADCs.
