The NHS ester groups are used for the covalent conjugation of molecules containing primary amines, such as proteins, peptides, and antibodies. NHS Activated Iron Oxide Nanoparticles can be employed in targeted drug delivery systems, where drugs or therapeutic agents are covalently linked to the nanoparticles for specific delivery to cells or tissues.
