Description

NHS Activated Iron Oxide Nanoparticles (Iron Oxide (II,III), Fe3O4, Magnetite) are composed of iron (Fe) and oxygen (O) atoms, forming magnetite (Fe3O4). The surface of these nanoparticles is coated with NHS ester groups. NHS activated nanoparticles can be selectively conjugated with molecules containing primary amines, offering high specificity in bioconjugation applications. These nanoparticles can also serve as contrast agents in various imaging techniques, such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), to enhance the visibility of specific tissues or cells.
