Description

PDLLA-PEG-BIO (Poly(D,L-lactide)-block-poly(ethylene glycol)-Biotin) is a block copolymer consisting of three main components: poly(D,L-lactide) (PDLLA), poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG), and biotin. The PDLLA block forms the hydrophobic core of the copolymer, providing stability and encapsulation of hydrophobic drugs or payloads. The PEG block forms the hydrophilic outer layer, improving water solubility, reducing nonspecific interactions with biological components, and prolonging circulation time in the bloodstream. The biotin moiety serves as a targeting ligand, allowing for specific binding to biotin-binding proteins or receptors on target cells or tissues.
