Description

PDLLA-PEG-PDLLA (Poly(D,L-lactide)-block-poly(ethylene glycol)-block-poly(D,L-lactide)) can be utilized for gene delivery applications. By incorporating cationic polymers or peptides into the copolymer structure, it is possible to form polyplexes capable of condensing and protecting nucleic acids (e.g., plasmid DNA or siRNA) for efficient cellular uptake and gene expression modulation. The biodegradable nature of the copolymer ensures safe clearance of the delivery system after gene delivery.
