Description

Concanavalin A, FITC and Biotin Labeled. Biotin labeling allows Con A to be conjugated to streptavidin or avidin, which have high affinity for biotin. This enables the formation of stable complexes that can be utilized in various applications such as immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and protein purification. Biotin-labeled Con A can also be used in conjunction with streptavidin- or avidin-conjugated fluorophores or enzymes for detection and visualization purposes. FITC (Fluorescein Isothiocyanate) is a commonly used fluorophore that emits green fluorescence upon excitation. FITC-labeled Con A can be used for fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, and other fluorescence-based techniques to visualize the binding and distribution of Con A in biological samples. It is particularly useful for studying glycoprotein localization and cellular interactions.
