PDLLA-PEG-PDLLA (Poly(D,L-lactide)-block-poly(ethylene glycol)-block-poly(D,L-lactide)) can be used to modify the surfaces of medical devices or implants to improve their biocompatibility and reduce the risk of immune response or inflammation. By coating the surface with a thin layer of PLA-PEG-PLA, the materials can resist protein adsorption, platelet adhesion, and bacterial colonization, thereby reducing the risk of thrombosis, infection, and implant rejection.
