Description

PLLA-mPEG (Poly(L-lactide)-PEG-methyl ether) is often used as a carrier for controlled drug delivery. The hydrophobic PLLA segment can encapsulate hydrophobic drugs, while the hydrophilic PEG segment improves the solubility and stability of the formulation. Additionally, the PEGylation can prolong circulation time by reducing recognition by the immune system, thus enhancing the accumulation of the drug at the target site.
