1,2-Distearoyl-sn-Glycero-3-Phosphoethanolamine (DSPE)-polyethylene glycol with conjugated rhodamine (DSPE-PEG-RhB, DSPE-PEG-Rhodamine B) is a dye functionalized phospholipid. The red dye can be easily traced using an imaging technique. The amphiphilic polymer can form lipid bilayer in water and be used to encapsulate therapeutic agents, such as liposomal anticancer drug or mRNA vaccine.
