Description

Bromoacetamido-PEG8-acid can be used to attach imaging agents (e.g., fluorophores, radiolabels) to biomolecules. The PEG spacer minimizes steric hindrance and preserves the functionality of both the imaging agent and the target molecule. It can also be used in the synthesis of hydrogels and other cross-linked networks. The reactive bromoacetamido groups can form covalent bonds with thiol-containing cross-linkers, creating stable and biocompatible materials.
