Description

Propargyl-PEG1-SS-alcohol can be used as a building block in the synthesis of more complex polymers or hydrogels, particularly those designed for responsive behavior (e.g., cleaving under specific conditions). In addition, the propargyl group can react with azides through CuAAC to form stable triazole linkages, enabling the conjugation of various biomolecules (e.g., peptides, proteins, nucleic acids) in a specific and efficient manner. The disulfide bond allows for the formation of reversible linkages, which can be cleaved under reducing conditions, such as inside cells, for controlled release applications.
