Description

Ibrutinib-Biotin is a conjugate where ibrutinib, a small molecule inhibitor targeting Bruton’s tyrosine kinase (BTK), is chemically linked to biotin. Ibrutinib is a targeted therapy drug used to treat certain types of cancers, particularly B-cell malignancies like chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), and others. It works by inhibiting BTK, a key enzyme in the B-cell receptor signaling pathway, which is crucial for the survival and proliferation of cancerous B-cells. Ibrutinib-Biotin can be used to selectively deliver ibrutinib to cells or tissues expressing biotin receptors. The biotin moiety acts as a targeting ligand that binds specifically to avidin or streptavidin-conjugated carriers or nanoparticles, facilitating targeted delivery of ibrutinib to cancer cells.
