(S,S,S)-Aprepitant (5-[[(2S,3S)-2-[(1S)-1-[3,5-Bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]ethoxy]-3-(4-fluorophenyl)-4-morpholinyl]methyl]-1,2-dihydro-3H-1,2,4-triazol-3-one) is a stereoisomer of aprepitant, which is a well-known antiemetic drug used primarily to prevent nausea and vomiting associated with chemotherapy. It is a selective antagonist of the neurokinin-1 (NK1) receptor, which is involved in the regulation of nausea and vomiting. (S,S,S)-Aprepitant is used to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy, particularly in combination with other antiemetics.
