Description

Fmoc-Val-Cit-PAB-MMAE is a precursor of antibody drug conjugate which contains a cleavable Val-Cit peptide, a PABC linker and a MMAE payload. The Fmoc group is a protecting group that is commonly used in peptide synthesis to protect the N-terminal amino group. The MMAE is a synthetic antineoplastic agent. It can be attached to a monoclonal antibody (MAB) which directs it toward cancer cells. It acts as a potent mitotic inhibitor by inhibiting tubulin polymerization. Valine-citrulline is a common lysosomal cleavable dipeptide. PAB is a typical self-immolation spacer.
