Description

Azide-PEG-COOH (N3-PEG-COOH) is a bifunctional polyethylene glycol (PEG) derivative that combines an azide group (-N3) on one end and a carboxylic acid group (-COOH) on the other. The azide group is reactive and can undergo click chemistry reactions, particularly the copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC). The carboxylic acid group can form amide bonds with amine-containing molecules. The PEG chain acts as a spacer and provides hydrophilicity, increasing the solubility and flexibility of the conjugated molecules.
