Description

N3-PEG-NHS (Azide-PEG-NHS) is a bifunctional PEG derivative where one end of the PEG chain is terminated with an azide group (-N3) and the other end with an NHS ester. The azide group is reactive towards alkynes in a bioorthogonal click chemistry reaction called the Huisgen 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition, often referred to as “click chemistry.” The NHS ester reacts with primary amines to form stable amide bonds, commonly used in protein and peptide conjugation.
