Description

NHS-PC-4 arm PEG can be used to develop targeted drug delivery systems. The NHS ester groups can be used to attach drugs, antibodies, or targeting ligands to the PEG structure via amide bonds. The PC groups can further enhance targeting or enable triggered release of the drug payload in response to specific stimuli (e.g., presence of reducing agents that cleave disulfide bonds). In addition, the 4-arm structure allows for the attachment of multiple therapeutic agents or diagnostic markers to a single PEG molecule. This enables the development of multifunctional conjugates that can combine therapeutic and diagnostic (theranostic) capabilities, improving treatment efficacy and monitoring.
