Description

N3-PEG-b-PAsp is designed to combine the advantageous properties of polyethylene glycol (PEG) with poly(aspartic acid) (PAsp) and includes an azide group for versatile chemical modifications. The PAsp block can be used to form complexes with nucleic acids (such as DNA or RNA), facilitating their delivery into cells. The anionic nature of PAsp helps in binding with cationic carriers or counteracting negatively charged nucleic acids. The PEG component provides protection to the nucleic acids from degradation in the bloodstream, while the azide group allows for the addition of targeting moieties or additional functional groups to enhance delivery efficiency.
