Description

Maleimide-PEG-NHS (MAL-PEG-NHS) can be used for the immobilization of DNA or RNA onto surfaces for use in microarrays, biosensors, and nucleic acid-based diagnostics. The NHS ester can react with amine-modified oligonucleotides, while the maleimide group can be used to attach thiol-modified oligonucleotides to the surface. This application is particularly useful in genomics and molecular diagnostics.
