Description

Carboxyl-PAMAM-Ni-NTA is a carboxyl-terminated polyamidoamine dendrimers functionalized with Nickel-Nitrilotriacetic acid. Ni-NTA is a chelating agent that binds nickel ions, which can then interact with histidine residues in proteins. The carboxyl groups on the PAMAM dendrimer can react with amine groups on NTA to form stable amide bonds, resulting in the functionalization of the dendrimer with Ni-NTA. Carboxyl-PAMAM-Ni-NTA can be used in affinity chromatography to purify histidine-tagged proteins from complex mixtures, allowing for efficient isolation of target proteins. Additionally, this comjugate can serve as a multifunctional carrier, enabling the delivery of nucleic acids, small molecules, or proteins for various therapeutic interventions. PAMAM dendrimers are commonly utilized in pharmaceuticals for targeted drug delivery and gene therapy, in diagnostics as biosensors and imaging agents, in cosmetics for active ingredient delivery, and in materials science for enhancing properties in nanocomposites and catalysts.
