Description

H-Lys(Boc)-Chlorotrityl Polystyrene Resin is commonly used in peptide synthesis for coupling reactions, where the Boc-protected amino acid (in this case, Lys(Boc)) reacts with other amino acids in the sequence. The chlorotrityl linker enables the attachment of the first amino acid (such as H-Lys(Boc)) to the solid phase, allowing successive elongation of the peptide chain. After the peptide chain is fully synthesized, the Boc group is removed (using acid), and the peptide can be cleaved from the resin, often with the use of a strong acid (e.g., TFA) to break the bond between the resin and the peptide.
