H-Tyr(t-Bu)-2-CT Polystyrene Resin features a polystyrene backbone, a 2-chlorotrityl linker, and a tyrosine residue with the hydroxyl group protected by a tert-butyl (t-Bu) group. The resin facilitates the synthesis of peptide fragments containing tyrosine, which can be assembled into larger peptides or proteins via fragment condensation. Beyond, tyrosine’s phenolic group can act as a functional site for cyclization reactions, forming cyclic peptides that are more stable and bioactive.
