Description

Cationic Liposomes DDAB/DOPE, Lyophilized Powder are being explored as vehicles for delivering antibiotics and antifungal agents. Their cationic charge enables them to interact with microbial cell membranes, which are often negatively charged, thereby enhancing the delivery of drugs directly to the site of infection. This could be especially beneficial for targeting drug-resistant pathogens. DDAB/DOPE cationic liposomes are also under investigation for targeted cancer therapy. By functionalizing the surface of these liposomes with targeting ligands (e.g., antibodies or small molecules), they can be directed specifically to tumor cells.
