Description

DiI Fluorescent Control Clodronate Liposomes (Neutral), Lyophilized Powder are used as a placebo in studies where clodronate liposomes are used for macrophage depletion. These liposomes allow for the distinguishing between the effects of the active drug (clodronate) and the liposomal carrier system. The fluorescence ensures easy tracking of liposomes in the absence of clodronate, confirming that any observed effects are not due to the liposomal carrier alone. In addition, DiI-labeled control liposomes are useful for studying the behavior of lipids in the liposomal bilayer, as the fluorescent dye can provide information on lipid dynamics and interactions with cellular membranes.
