Description

Mannosylated Fluoroliposome-DiO, Lyophilized Powder (m-Fluoroliposome-DiO) can specifically deliver drugs to cells that express mannose receptors, such as macrophages, dendritic cells, and tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs). This enhances the specificity of the drug delivery, allowing for higher therapeutic efficacy and lower off-target effects, which is especially important for chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and infection treatment. Besides, the green fluorescence of DiO allows for real-time tracking of the liposomes in biological systems, making it possible to monitor their biodistribution, cellular uptake, and therapeutic targeting in vivo. Fluorescence-based imaging techniques, such as confocal microscopy, IVIS imaging, and fluorescence tomography, can be used to track the liposomes in animal models, providing valuable information about the pharmacokinetics and efficacy of the liposomal delivery system.
