Description

Surface Reactive Doxorubicin Liposomes-Azide (PEGylated), Lyophilized Powder incorporates doxorubicin, a potent chemotherapy agent, encapsulated within the liposome structure, while their surface is functionalized with an azide group (-N3) for subsequent attachment of specific targeting ligands or other bioactive molecules using click chemistry. Surface-reactive liposomes-azide (PEGylated) can be used for gene delivery, particularly in the context of CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing. By functionalizing the liposomes with CRISPR components (Cas9 protein, guide RNA), the system can be targeted to specific cells or tissues. The liposomes facilitate the delivery of the CRISPR machinery directly into the target cells, where gene editing can occur. The click chemistry reaction allows for customization of the liposome surface to target specific tissues for gene therapy applications.
