Description

Fluorescent (DiI) Immunoliposomes-Azide (PEGylated), Lyophilized Powder can be used to deliver small interfering RNAs (siRNA) or messenger RNAs (mRNA) for RNA interference or gene silencing applications. The ability to target specific tissues via immunoligands on the surface of the liposomes increases the delivery efficiency of RNA-based therapeutics to the desired cell types, improving their therapeutic efficacy in silencing disease-causing genes. Besides, immunoliposomes can serve as diagnostic tools, especially in biosensing applications. For example, the surface of the liposome can be functionalized with a biomarker-specific antibody to detect specific disease markers (e.g., tumor markers or infectious agents). The DiI fluorescence enables detection through various fluorescence-based assays.
