DOTAP-based Fluoroliposome-Dansyl lipid, Lyophilized Powder represents an important class of liposomal systems that combine the advantageous properties of cationic lipids for efficient cellular interaction with the fluorescent characteristics of dansyl-tagged lipids for tracking and visualization. DOTAP is a synthetic cationic lipid, often used in the formulation of liposomes due to its ability to form stable lipid bilayers with strong electrostatic interactions with negatively charged molecules, particularly nucleic acids like DNA and RNA. Dansyl group imparts a characteristic fluorescence when excited at specific wavelengths (typically in the ultraviolet or blue light range). The emission wavelength of the dansyl group is typically around 510 nm, making it detectable with standard fluorescence microscopes and spectrometers.
