DOTAP-based Fluoroliposome-Cyanine 5.5 lipid, Lyophilized Powder can serve as the basis for biosensors that detect cell surface markers, pathogens, or other biomolecules. The highly sensitive fluorescence of Cy5.5 can be used in diagnostic applications to detect specific molecular interactions or biomarkers. Besides, Cy5.5 fluorescence can be used in fluorescence polarization experiments to investigate the lipid dynamics and membrane fluidity of liposomes. This is particularly useful for understanding how lipid composition and external factors (e.g., temperature, pH) affect the liposomal membrane.
