Description

PG-based Fluoroliposome-DiD-Azide, Lyophilized Powder can be engineered for smart drug release, triggered by specific biological stimuli such as pH changes, enzymes, or redox conditions. The azide group can also be utilized in conjunction with external triggers (e.g., light or magnetic fields) to release the encapsulated drug. In cancer therapy, these liposomes can be designed to release their drug load in the acidic pH typically found in tumors, ensuring that the drug is released at the desired location. For specific diseases that overexpress certain enzymes (e.g., matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) in cancer), the liposomes can be designed to release its therapeutic payload when the enzyme cleaves a prodrug or caging molecule.
