PS-based Fluoroliposome-Cyanine 5.5 lipid-Azide, Lyophilized Powder can be used as nanocarriers for the delivery of antigens or adjuvants in vaccine formulations. The Cyanine 5.5 fluorescence allows researchers to track the biodistribution and uptake of liposomal vaccines in vivo. In addition, PS-based liposomes can be functionalized with pathogen-specific ligands (e.g., antibodies against bacteria or viruses) through click chemistry using the azide group. This allows for the detection of pathogens in blood, saliva, or other body fluids.
