Description

Cationic Liposome containing DOTMA-NBD-DOPE can be used to study the mechanisms of endocytosis, which is crucial for understanding how cells internalize drug-loaded liposomes. The fluorescence of NBD-DOPE allows for the visualization of liposomes as they are taken up by cells, helping to distinguish between different endocytic pathways (e.g., clathrin-mediated endocytosis, macropinocytosis, or caveolae-mediated endocytosis). The NBD-DOPE fluorescence provides an easy-to-use quantification method to measure the cellular uptake of liposomes.
