Description

Polystyrene A FP (4-Formyl-phenoxyethyl Polystyrene Resin) can be employed in chromatographic applications, especially in affinity chromatography and selective adsorption processes. The aldehyde functionality allows for the attachment of ligands or antibodies that can specifically bind to target molecules, making it useful in protein purification or other molecular separations. Due to its reactivity, Polystyrene A FP can also be employed in environmental applications such as the removal of heavy metals from water. The aldehyde groups can bind to metal ions through chelation, allowing the resin to capture and concentrate these contaminants from aqueous environments.
