Description

Polystyrene A FP (4-Formyl-phenoxyethyl Polystyrene Resin) can be used in tissue engineering applications, where it serves as a scaffold for the attachment of cells or growth factors. The reactive aldehyde groups can covalently bond to the amino groups of biomolecules, facilitating their immobilization onto the surface of the scaffold. Additionally, the aldehyde groups in Polystyrene A FP provide a platform for drug conjugation. Drugs, especially those containing amines or alcohol groups, can be covalently attached to the resin. The resulting drug-loaded resin can be used for controlled or targeted delivery, where the release of the drug can be triggered by changes in the environment or through chemical reactions with the aldehyde group.
