Description

Fmoc-hydrazino 2-CT Polystyrene is composed of a polystyrene backbone that is functionalized with both an Fmoc (9-fluorenylmethyloxycarbonyl) protecting group and a hydrazine linker, which is attached to the resin via a 2-chlorotrityl (2-CT) ester. Fmoc-hydrazino 2-CT Polystyrene is primarily used in solid-phase peptide synthesis, where peptides are synthesized sequentially by adding amino acids to the resin-bound growing chain. The Fmoc group plays a crucial role in the protection of amino groups during synthesis. After each addition, the Fmoc group is removed, allowing for further elongation of the peptide chain. Polystyrene resin is an essential material for a wide range of uses in research, diagnostics, medical devices, and multiple industial applications from packaging to construction.
