Fmoc-Cys(StBu) Low Crosslinked Polystyrene-PEG S TRT Resin (Fmoc-Cys(StBu) Low Crosslinked Polystyrene-PEG S Trityl Resin) is valuable for a wide range of applications, including peptide libraries, enzyme inhibitors, diagnostic agents, and therapeutic peptides. The tert-butyl (StBu) group provides a highly stable and sterically bulky protection for cysteine’s thiol group. The low crosslinking and PEG spacer increase the swelling of the resin, which improves reagent access to the growing peptide chain. The combination of Fmoc and StBu protection systems enables selective and efficient incorporation of cysteine into peptides without the risk of premature disulfide bond formation or thiol oxidation.
