Description

Fmoc-L-Ser(tBu)-NHN=Pyv Resin (Fmoc-O-t-butyl-L-seryl-hydrazono-pyruvyl-aminomethylpolystyrene resin) is useful for the synthesis of peptides that require the incorporation of hydrazone-linked functional groups. The resulting hydrazono-pyruvyl moiety can participate in selective reactions with carbonyl-containing molecules, enabling peptide modifications that are difficult to achieve through standard amide bond formation. Besides, the hydrazone functionality is well-suited for bioorthogonal conjugation strategies, where it can selectively react with aldehydes or ketones under mild conditions. This makes it an excellent tool for site-specific labeling of peptides, proteins, and other biomolecules without interfering with native functional groups.
