18:1 (Δ9-Cis) PC (DOPC) or 1,2-dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine is a neutral helper phospholipid which can be used in gene and drug delivery liposomal formulations. 18:1 (Δ9-Cis) PC has been proven to promote more stable laminar structures. The helper lipids have been shown to improve the transfection efficiency in a variety of cell types when used in combination with charged lipids. At the same time, as an unsaturated phospholipid, 18:1 (Δ9-Cis) PC can be applied to the preparation of liposomes and planar supported membranes. This product is available in chloroform and powder.
