PLGA-PEG-PLGA (Poly(lactic acid-co-glycolic acid)-b-Poly(ethylene glycol)-b-Poly(lactic acid-co-glycolic acid)) is a triblock copolymer consisting of three main components: PLGA (Poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid)), PEG (Polyethylene Glycol), and PLGA (Poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid)). The dual nature of PLGA-PEG-PLGA makes it amphiphilic, allowing it to interact with both hydrophobic and hydrophilic substances. This property is valuable in drug delivery, as it can encapsulate hydrophobic drugs within its PLGA blocks while providing a hydrophilic surface for enhanced solubility and biocompatibility.
