Description

Fmoc-Val-Ala-PAB-PNP is a peptide substrate with a PAB (para-aminobenzoic acid) linker and a PNP (p-nitrophenyl) chromogenic group that can be used to study protease activity. The Val-Ala, as shown in the ACD Zynlonta, is effectively cleaved by lysosomal proteolytic enzymes while being highly stable in human plasma. The Fmoc group can be deprotected under basic condition to obtain the free amine which can be used for further conjugations. Fmoc-Val-Ala-PAB-PNP can be used to screen for inhibitors or activators of proteases that cleave the peptide bond between Valine and Alanine residues.
