PEG Iron Oxide Nanoparticles (PEG Functionalized Iron Oxide(II,III) / Fe3O4 / Magnetite, Fe NP PEG) are composed of iron (Fe) and oxygen (O) atoms, forming magnetite (Fe3O4). The surface of these nanoparticles is coated with PEG molecules. PEG coating enhances the stability of nanoparticles in biological fluids and aqueous solutions, preventing aggregation and maintaining their size and properties over time. PEG Iron Oxide Nanoparticles can be used for the removal of contaminants from water and wastewater through adsorption and magnetic separation processes.
