Description

PLGA-PEG-Ph (Poly(lactic-co-glycoclic acid)-PEG-Phenyl) refers to a copolymer composed of poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA), poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG), and phenyl groups. PLGA is a biodegradable polymer that can be broken down in the body into its non-toxic byproducts, lactic acid and glycolic acid. PEG improves the hydrophilicity of the copolymer, which can enhance its solubility in water and reduce non-specific protein adsorption. The phenyl groups contribute hydrophobic characteristics to the copolymer. This can be beneficial in applications where interactions with hydrophobic substances are required or when a specific affinity to certain materials is desired.
