Description

100nm Plain DPPC/CHOL Liposomes (55:45 mol/mol), Lyophilized Powder have been investigated for their ability to cross the blood-brain barrier (BBB) and deliver drugs to treat neurological disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and multiple sclerosis. Surface modifications can improve liposome targeting to brain cells for more effective drug delivery to the central nervous system (CNS). Additionally, they can be loaded with contrast agents such as gadolinium for MRI imaging. The liposomes can be used to enhance the contrast in MRI scans, helping with the visualization of tissues or pathological conditions such as tumors or inflammation.
