Description

2-Chlorotrityl hydrazine, polymer-bound ((α-Hydrazino-α-phenyl-2-chlorobenzyl)polystyrene / Hydrazine bound to 2-chloro-trityl resin) combines a trityl group with hydrazine functionality. This resin is often used in organic synthesis, particularly in solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) and the preparation of hydrazone derivatives. The presence of a trityl (triphenylmethyl) group serves as a protecting group and enhances the resin’s hydrophobicity, which is beneficial for certain reactions.
